My name is Steph Smart.
As a seasoned Performing Arts Practitioner, Drama Tutor, and Acting Coach, I am committed to guiding individuals of all abilities, ages, and skill levels on their path to artistic excellence and personal development.

Coming from a place of empathy and compassion, support and empowerment, I have eighteen years of experience working in performing arts and education contexts. I hold a firm belief in the power of drama as tool for change, learning, transformation, and play!

Performers' Playground is a weekly drama class for adults that is a space to be creative, let the imagination reign, and to leave the stresses of the day behind. In a world where pressures are everywhere, having a fun and creative outlet has never been so important. Ask yourself, when was the last time you had fun? Performers' Playground offers that.
Drama Deconstructed is a weekly drama class targeted to develop key skills in both drama and beyond. With a focus on meta-skills (Self-Management, Social Intelligence, and Innovation!), the classes use techniques, concepts and practices within the performing arts to empower young people to realise their own creative potentials! This class is suitable for 13-17yrs.

Whether you’re a complete beginner, or a professional in the industry, I’ll tailor lessons to support your development. Working on a specific performance project, preparing for an audition somewhere, studying for an exam, or you want to build confidence and practice? Let me work with you to help you explore and achieve your goals.
Similar to the 1-2-1 sessions, these are with up to three students. An example might be a group of friends who want more support with tutoring for English, a group of three actors in a scene looking to develop their own character work together, or even it might be a small group of people who want to work on a project together.

These specially designed Masterclasses are for those who have some experience in performance, but want to learn more to an industry standard.
With a focus on process, techniques, and practice, these masterclasses offer a theoretical and practical exploration of developing your craft in a safe and supportive environment. Suitable for 16+
Spotlight Sessions is a monthly scratch event that has two aims; to support new work within the creative and performing arts by providing a platform to share and grow. And to continue to build the incredible creative community in the Highlands of Scotland.
This is a public event, that invites all kinds of new and developing work from stand up to theatre, to poetry and song.
